Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that ERISA and Executive Compensation expert Dana Scott Fried has joined the New York office as a partner.

Fried concentrates his practice in all aspects of ERISA, employee benefits and executive compensation. He advises clients on such matters in the context of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital, bankruptcy proceedings, investment issues and litigation. He also drafts and advises on qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and employment, change of control, retention, equity compensation and incentive agreements and arrangements, and advises clients with respect to plan administration, fiduciary and funding issues.

“Dana will significantly enhance our existing executive compensation practice,” said Co-Chair of Loeb & Loeb, Michael Beck. “His rich experience providing counsel to Fortune 500 clients in employee benefit matters, ERISA and compensation disputes will serve our clients very well.”

Fried had been a partner at Brown Raysman in New York since 2000 and previously at Le Bouef Lamb. He also practiced law as an associate at White & Case and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

Fried is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the New York and New Jersey State Bars, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of the District of New Jersey.

Fried received J.D. and M.B.A. (in Management) degrees from Boston University in 1982 and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1987. He earned a B.A. from Harpur College – SUNY Binghamton in 1979.
