LONDON – LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs – Allen & Overy is advising Collins Stewart Tullett plc on its proposed acquisition of Hawkpoint Holdings Limited, announced this morning.

Collins Stewart is the largest independent stockbroking business in the United Kingdom with revenues of GBP149 million for the year ended 31 December 2005. Hawkpoint is a leading UK corporate advisory firm based in London and Paris with revenues for the year ended 31 December 2005 of GBP36m.

The acquisition is conditional, inter alia, on the completion of the demerger of Collins Stewart Tullett’s stockbroking business, Collins Stewart, from Collins Stewart Tullett plc.

The Allen & Overy team was led by corporate partners Susan Howard and Mark Dighero, with associates Sara Pickersgill and Michael Mustard. Tax advice was provided by Lydia Challen and James Burton and incentives advice by Ann Moseley.
