May 2nd, 2007 LawJobsPipelines.com – Associates with law jobs at Freshfields and Linklaters in London are due for increases, according to The Lawyer. Top of the newly qualified salary list in London are Allen & Overy and Freshfields (at £65,000) followed by Linklaters £64,000, Clifford Chance £63,500.
These are substantial pay hikes – up by £10,000 in Freshfield’s case, for instance – where they also qualify for a bonus after six months. As The Lawyer reports, with bonuses, it means that a one-year PQE at A&O would earn £71,500 while at Freshfields, a counterpart could take home a maximum of £91,500 once the bonus is factored in.
