NEW YORK, August 27, 2004 LAWFUEL – Best for law, law news, legal news, legal research Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today the promotion of two business executives. John A. Hodder was appointed Chief Marketing Officer and Brian F. Schare was named Executive Director, East Coast.
Hodder, who joined Orrick as Director of Marketing in 2001, had served as acting CMO
since January. As CMO, Hodder is responsible for overseeing the firm’s global
marketing strategy.
As Executive Director, East Coast, Schare will be responsible for the administrative
functions of Orricks New York and Washington, D.C., offices. He will also share
responsibility for the firms Global Operations Center located in Wheeling, West
Virginia. In addition, Schare, who joined Orrick in 1998, will continue to serve as
Litigation Division Operating Officer (DOO) and oversee the Managing Attorneys
Office.
Commenting on the two promotions, Orrick chief operating officer P. Douglas Benson
said, John and Brian have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a real
