NZ Legal Profession Bullying and Harassment Workplace Survey Released Soon

NZ Legal Profession Bullying and Harassment Workplace Survey Released SoonThe survey undertaken by the NZ Law Society to investigate sexual harassment in the profession and related issues is to be released tomorrow, 30 May.

The survey was commissioned by the Law Society to survey lawyers across the country in order to assess their workplace environment and focus on bullying and sexual harassment in the profession following the uproar after the complaints involving Russell McVeagh and followed by issues involving other firms and Otago University Law School also.

The Law Society have sdaid that the survey also provides a “measure of general workplace wellbeing in the legal workplace.”

It will be disclosed in a media conference tomorrow by Law Society President Kathryn Beck, who said the survey was both comprehensive and scientific.

“The findings from this research are profound for the legal profession and I am committed to sharing them in full and directly with lawyers across New Zealand, the media and our full range of stakeholders.”
