SEATTLE–LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – Perkins Coie served as lead counsel to aQuantive, Inc. in its record-setting acquisition by Microsoft Corporation. In the largest acquisition in its history, Microsoft agreed to pay $66.50 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $6 billion.

“The expertise of the Perkins Coie team was invaluable on the sale of aQuantive to Microsoft. Dave McShea, Andrew Bor, and Roy Tucker were outstanding guides as we navigated through this landmark transaction,” said Linda Schoemaker, aQuantive’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

The deal was announced in May and was completed on August 10. Perkins Coie represented aQuantive from its incorporation through its venture capital financings, its initial public offering in 2000 and its life as a public company.

Said Brian McAndrews, Chief Executive Officer of aQuantive, “Throughout the history of aQuantive, we have relied on Perkins Coie for sound legal advice and guidance. We value the insight our Perkins Coie legal team has always provided us and greatly appreciate each member’s efforts during the course of this transaction.”
