Steve Klepper elected chair of Maryland State Bar Association Appellate Practice Committee

 

Baltimore, MD (December 5, 2016) — Kramon & Graham appellate attorney Steven M. Klepperhas been named chair of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association Section of Litigation.

 

Mr. Klepper takes over from longtime chair, Andrew Baida, who himself took over from Court of Special Appeals Judge Kevin Arthur, formerly a principal with Kramon & Graham.

 

Comprised of Maryland appellate practitioners and judges, the MSBA Appellate Practice Committee’s primary role is to plan, present, and sponsor programming on appellate litigation topics. Events include the Supreme Court Term in Review panel, which is presented every year at the Maryland State Bar Association annual meeting.

 

Since 2013, Mr. Klepper has served as editor-in-chief of the Maryland Appellate Blog, for which he received the Section of Litigation Chair’s Award for Exceptional Service in 2014.

 

A lead attorney in Kramon & Graham’s appellate practice, Mr. Klepper has extensive experience handling civil and criminal cases before federal and state appellate courts. He has successfully advocated for clients in complex multi-million-dollar matters involving commercial litigation, insurance coverage, real estate development, business torts, employment law, premises liability, and constitutional and civil rights.
