He told the Manchester Evening News: “While many of our peers have struggled to remain competitive and viable, our teams continue to show that a clear focus on core commercial services, investment in talent and technology and a dedication to clients and their needs can drive growth in an uncertain market.
“Our underlying financial strength gives us both the faith and the firepower to invest more aggressively in developing and hiring the very best talent during the year ahead to capture a greater share of the market.”
Looking forward, the firm said the strength of its balance sheet and cashflow – driven by low borrowings, careful cost management and retained profits – would enable it to continue investing aggressively to hire the market’s best talent.
