US Law – Bryan Cave Strengthens Connections with Financial Institutions

LOS ANGELES, June 2, 2009 – LawFuel.com – Legal Announcements – Douglas Thompson has joined the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP as a partner in the firm’s Santa Monica office. He will practice with the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Class & Derivative Actions and Financial Institutions Client Service Groups.

As the Managing Director and General Counsel, Litigation of Countrywide Financial Corporation, Thompson headed the litigation department and managed the company’s nationwide portfolio of litigation matters. After Bank of America’s acquisition of Countrywide, Thompson managed its legacy Countrywide consumer finance class action and securities class action litigation matters. In addition, he led the integration of Countrywide’s litigation department into Bank of America.

Thompson received his J.D. in 1991 from Pepperdine University and his B.A., cum laude, in 1987 from Tufts University.
