Warsaw – International legal practice DLA Piper today announced that Jacek Jachowicz has joined its Warsaw office as a partner in Real Estate. Jacek has more than 14 years’ real estate experience and will lead the practice.

Jacek’s experience includes real estate and corporate, particularly in the area of investment and development. He represents Polish and international corporations, investors and developers on real estate and investment projects in Poland. Jacek also advises on tax and finance matters related to structuring, negotiating and coordinating real estate deals.

Jacek joins DLA Piper from the Warsaw office of White & Case, where he was Senior Counsel. His arrival marks DLA Piper’s commitment to strengthen its capabilities in Poland, where it sees significant potential for future investment. Under Jacek’s leadership the Real Estate team is set to expand with the recruitment of additional lawyers during 2009.

Jacek has a LLM from the Warsaw University of Law (1994) and a BA in political science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada (1990). He joins DLA Piper on 1 June 2009.
