— Highly experienced Restructuring and Finance partner Lech Giliciński has joined White & Case in Warsaw from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, adding yet further depth to the Firm’s presence in Poland, which now numbers almost 50 lawyers.
Lech Giliciński has a broad range of experience in assisting Polish and multinational clients in corporate and financial restructurings, as well as banking and finance matters. In addition, his core areas of expertise also include intellectual property and private equity. The list of Lech Giliciński’s clients includes renowned businesses such as Lehman Brothers, TDA Capital Partners, Shoreview Capital Partners and Unisys Corporation.
While a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Warsaw, Lech Giliciński was primarily responsible for the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring, Banking and Finance, and Intellectual Property practices. He joins the Warsaw office together with Adrian Pawelec, an associate and member of his team at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
The arrival of Lech Giliciński is illustrative of the continued growth of White & Case in Poland: he is the fourth new partner to join the Firm during the last two years. His arrival not only enhances White & Case’s overall capabilities in the country, but also adds to the Firm’s strengths in banking and finance, private equity and corporate restructuring across Central and Eastern Europe.
“Lech’s arrival is a direct response to increased client demand for services from our Finance and Corporate Restructuring practices, as our work for both domestic and international clients in these areas continues to experience strong growth,” commented White & Case Executive Partner for Warsaw, Witold Daniłowicz. “We’re delighted to have such a high calibre player on board.”
