Austin, TX, Aug. 17, 2010 – Winstead PC has hired Lacey L. Gourley as a shareholder in the Austin office. Gourley works in Winstead’s highly regarded Labor, Employment and Immigration Practice Group, helping clients who face employment law issues, and defending employers in state and federal court litigation and administrative proceedings. She was previously with Bracewell & Giuliani LLP.
Gourley has served as lead attorney in jury trials involving all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, breach of employment contract, whistleblower and various torts claims. She advises clients in all areas of labor and employment law, including federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Occupational Safety and Health Administration Act, National Labor Relations Act and numerous others. Additionally, Gourley provides preventative training programs to management.

Lacey is a member of the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Section, subcommittee on arbitration/mediation of employment disputes; the State Bar of Texas, Labor and Employment Law and Litigation sections; the Travis County Bar Association and the Travis County Labor and Employment Law Forum. Gourley received her J.D., cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law.
