August 6, 2018 – DLA Piper announced today that Xavier Mangino has joined the firm’s Corporate practice as a partner in Mexico City.
Mangino focuses his practice on corporate and commercial law, private equity, banking and finance, foreign investment, debt and capital markets, securitizations, structured finance, peer-to-peer lending, general finance transactions, real estate, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. He has advised financial institutions such as banks, foreign banks, investment advisers, brokerage houses and Multiple Object Financial Corporations (SOFOMs). He represents several publicly traded companies listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Mangino, who joins DLA Piper from Diaz de Rivera & Mangino, SC, where he served as managing partner, earned his law degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and his undergraduate degree from Universidad La Salle, A.C. He is joining the firm along with the members of his team at Diaz de Rivera & Mangino, including two associates and staff members. Mangino also teaches at the Universidad Panamericana and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico, where he has been a professor for the past 15 years.
Mangino is the latest partner to join the Mexico City office, which also recently added Corporate partner Diego Martínez and a Tax team led by partners Ramiro González-Luna, Luis Carlos Moreno and Diego Armida. The office has expanded to include more than 30 lawyers, enhancing DLA Piper’s growing capabilities in Latin America.
