& Dispute Resolution group.

Patrick Hubert, graduate of ENA, is 50 years old. At an early stage of his
career he joined the “Conseil d’Etat” (the French administrative Supreme
Court) and was subsequently appointed “Commissaire du Gouvernement”.

From 1995 to 1997, he held the office of “Directeur Adjoint du Cabinet”
(Deputy Head of Staff) at the Ministry of Justice. He was later “Rapporteur
Général” (General Counsel) at the “Conseil de la Concurrence”, the French
antitrust regulatory authority.

In May 2002, he became “Directeur de Cabinet” (Head of Staff) to Mr
Dominique Perben, the Minister of Justice, and in April 2004, Advisor to Mr
Serge Lepeltier, Minister of Ecology and Sustainable Development.

Patrick Hubert will primarily work with the anti-trust, public law and
environmental law groups in the Paris office, which are respectively managed
by Claude Lazarus, David Préat and Pierre Bechmann. His appointment matches
Clifford Chance’s enhanced activity in these three areas.

Yves Wehrli, managing partner of Clifford Chance’s Paris Office said:

“Patrick Hubert is a recognised figure in French government circles and has
an outstanding reputation. We are very pleased to welcome him to the firm.
His appointment enables us to strengthen further our anti-trust, public and
environmental law practices, which, in our organisation, are already
strongly inter-related. This will help us to respond effectively to the
growth of our activities in these areas and sustain our top tier market
position.”
