London, 14 September 2004 LAWFUEL – Best for law news, law firms, attorney news, legal research, tax – Baker & McKenzie is pleased to announce that John Fairley, a former senior international tax partner with Ernst & Young, London, has joined the Firm’s London Corporate Tax Department as a senior consultant.

John has extensive experience in international tax planning and structuring for multinational groups and he will focus on the development of the Firm’s work in this area for UK headquartered groups. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, John held senior positions with the UK Inland Revenue.

James macLachlan, Head of the London Corporate Tax Department, said, “We are delighted that John is joining us and are excited about the opportunities and wealth of experience he will bring to us. John will have a significant role to play in developing our tax offering for UK multinationals. He joins the Firm’s global tax practice which is going from strength to strength.”
