17 August – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Clifford Chance US LLP announced today that Howard E. Peskoe has joined the firm as Partner, resident in the New York office. Howard will co-chair the firm’s Real Estate practice in the Americas alongside partner David Djaha, the current chairman.

“Howard’s tremendous depth of experience from his broad based real estate practice will be invaluable to our domestic real estate clients and enhance our ability to service our global real estate practice,” said Craig Medwick, Regional Managing Partner for the Americas. “His expertise will enhance our leading real estate private equity funds and REITS practices.”

Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Howard was a partner in Winston & Strawn LLP’s New York office where he represented lenders, borrowers, owners and contractors. His extensive expertise includes purchase and sales transactions and financings of all types, development projects and capital markets activities. Among the companies he has represented are W&M Properties/Malkin Family interests, Forest City Ratner Companies, Terra Holdings (Brown Harris Stevens/Halstead), Capital Trust, Inc., Sciame Construction and numerous institutional lenders. Howard received his JD from Columbia University School of Law in 1974, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and his BA from Brown University in 1971.
