19 September – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Linklaters has elected Peter Goes, one of The Netherlands’ leading corporate lawyers, to join its Amsterdam office. His appointment represents a further key step in the development of Linklaters’ Dutch law capability. His appointment follows that of Pieter Riemer, another highly regarded Dutch corporate lawyer, earlier this year.

Peter Goes joins the firm from Nauta Dutilh. He has extensive corporate M&A experience, in particular in the Dutch energy and utilities market. In addition, he has considerable corporate litigation experience and lectures on cross-border M&A at the Rotterdam School of Business.

Pieter Riemer, partner in Linklaters’ Amsterdam office, said:

“We are thrilled that Peter is joining us. He is an outstanding lawyer, and will be a great addition to our Dutch corporate practice and to the Amsterdam office generally. His appointment demonstrates our continuing commitment to the development of Dutch law capability in all key areas.”

David Barnes, global head of Linklaters’ corporate practice, added:

“Peter’s appointment underlines our strategy of providing premium cross-border and local law advice to our clients in key jurisdictions. Peter is the tenth partner to be elected to our global corporate practice in the past 12 months.”

Linklaters’ Amsterdam office now offers clients capital markets, corporate, private equity, banking, regulatory and funds advice.
