The 2017 US & World Report Law School Rankings

US News Law School Rankings Delayed

The widely anticipated US & World Report Law School rankings have been leaked to law blog SpiveyConsulting, showing the top 100.

The US & World Report would not confirm the accuracy of the results, but they are almost certainly the correct rankings, barring some minor adjustments.

AbovetheLaw, who reported the Spivey figures noted that among the second tier, Cincinnati, New Mexico, Loyola (CA), and Villanova, all posted double-digit gains in just the year.  Thus far, with a 22-spot climb, Cincy gained the most ground of all law schools we’ve seen in the latest edition of the rankings.

The reality is with the rankings that it is still difficult for those seeking to attend the law schools to quite know exactly whether you should rely upon the rankings based on the statistics.  Many other factors come into play also.

As with any law school choice, the key is to do some heavy research beyond just rankings like the US & World Report figures.
