27 January 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Linklaters announces that it has elected Pieter Riemer, a highly regarded Dutch corporate lawyer, to join its Amsterdam office. His appointment marks the launch of Linklaters’ Dutch corporate practice in The Netherlands.
Pieter, currently a partner at Allen & Overy, has more than 16 years of experience in a broad range of corporate finance work, in particular mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and public takeovers. He is also actively involved in private equity work and corporate restructurings.
Pieter’s appointment follows a number of other recent, important additions to Linklaters’ Amsterdam office, including Henk Arnold Sijnja (M&A, private equity, equity capital markets), Wim Hazeleger (capital markets, regulatory), Onno Bakker (banking), Philip Phoelich (banking) and Peter Voorhees (capital markets).
Following the appointment last year of Pim Horsten, a Dutch capital markets partner, Linklaters’ Amsterdam office now offers clients capital markets, corporate, private equity, banking, regulatory and funds advice.
