3 May 2005, New York – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Claudius Sokenu, an associate in our New York office, has been appointed to serve on the Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Task Force on Corporate Governance. The Task Force will examine the role of lawyers in the corporate scandals of the last several years and Congress’ response. Comprised of federal judges and prosecutors from the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, general counsels from Fortune 500 companies, partners from several major New York City law firms and law professors from Columbia, NYU and Fordham, the Task Force is also charged with recommending best practices for law firms and lawyers that represent public companies and their officers and directors. Notably, Claudius is the most junior member (and only law firm associate) on the Task Force.
