5 September – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Linklaters has advised ABN AMRO and DEPFA PPP on the Douai Logipôle project involving the design, build, finance and maintenance of a logistical support platform (Logipôle) at the Douai Hospital in the North of France.
This ground-breaking project is the first PPP project to be effected under the French healthcare investment programme “Hôpital 2007” and is structured around a long term administrative lease (or “BEH”) granted under the recently revamped public healthcare laws aimed at accelerating co-operation between public and private sectors to improve public services and relaunch “social growth”, as recently confirmed by the French Prime Minister.
Project costs are estimated in the region of €30 million and the project will be built by Norpac and maintained by Exprimm, members of the Bouygues group.
Linklaters also acted on the recent research institute at the “15/20” eye hospital in Paris, also a first for healthcare PPP in France, but falling outside the official “Hôpital 2007” programme.
