50 Cent (the rap artist, not the monetary denomimation) has pulled off what one music industry publication calls “the ultimate switcheroo” by turning the tables on his Big Law lawyers and suing them for $32 million (that’s the monetary denomination, not a rapper).

50 Cent hired Reed Smith to represent him in the Lastonia Leviston sex-tape case but he blames them and attorney Peter Raymond (pictured) for his 2015 bankruptcy after he was ordered to pay Leviston $7 million.

HipHopDX report that his lawsuit claims that the parties mentioned were “neglectful, negligent and unethical.” He also took a shot at his former legal reps’ “legal standards” and “lack of effective representation.”

“Reed Smith and Raymond did not follow established legal standards in representing Jackson in the Leviston Case by failing to provide effective representation and conduct proper pre-trial and trial preparation prior to the Leviston trial,” the complaint reads, according to The Wrap. “In addition, their lack of effective representation and inadequate pre-trial preparation and preparation for trial caused Jackson to retain new counsel on the eve of trial.”

Further, the lawsuit also notes that an alleged conflict of interest between Reed Smith and key material witnesses also existed and which contributed to “an unfavorable jury verdict.”

The artist is reportedly seeking $7 million in actual damages and $25 million in punitive damages.
