LAWFUEL – Legal News, Legal Jobs Network – Clifford Chance is advising long-standing private equity client Duke Street Capital on the disposal of Esporta, the UK-based racquets, lifestyle and health-fitness club chain, to the Halabi family trust. The disposal was announced on 16th November. The team is being led by Private Equity partner Simon Tinkler, assisted by Katrina Terei, Rebecca Flanagan and Tiffany He. The deal further cements the Clifford Chance private equity practice’s strong relationship with Duke Street Capital.
Simon Tinkler commented: “We have acted for Duke Street for a long time, and are always delighted to help them when they choose to sell their investments as well as when they are buyers. Esporta was a very significant business for Duke Street, and it was a very tightly run auction process where our vast auction experience really helped deliver the deal for them.”
