LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs Network – Linklaters was last night named Global Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Global Awards 2006. The firm also won the Asian Law Firm of the Year award for the second year running.
For the global award, the judges were looking for ‘a firm that demonstrates outstanding capability across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas – a firm that offers quality from the most senior partner to the associates; a firm that is proactive on behalf of its clients and, above all, a firm that has in the past year shown itself to be a cut above the rest.’
Linklaters was short-listed for 14 awards in total, more than any other firm, and was runner-up in the following categories: African, Benelux, Middle Eastern, Global Capital Markets and Global Competition/Antitrust Law Firm of the Year.
The awards ceremony, held at the Hilton Park Lane, London, was attended by more than 800 of the world’s leading lawyers. The winners were chosen by a panel of in-house counsel from international banks and corporates.
