Former Legends Global Asia Pacific Group General Counsel Adam Lister has launched a specialist boutique law firm targeting the fast-growing intersection of sport, entertainment, venues and major infrastructure.

The law firm, which opened in April 2026, is focused on advising governments, venue operators, promoters, investors and supply chain partners on high-value transactions, commercial partnerships and complex infrastructure developments across the “live experience” economy.

Lister brings close to a decade of senior in-house leadership at Legends Global, where he led legal strategy on major public infrastructure transactions and worked directly with government ministries, sovereign wealth funds and private sector stakeholders. His work included structuring and negotiating naming rights, ticketing and partnership arrangements, alongside major event and supply agreements across an international venue portfolio.

His experience also spans mergers and acquisitions involving private fund investment structures, as well as regulatory advisory work before the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB).

Prior to his in-house role, Lister was part of the legal team on the $1.5 billion ICC Sydney public-private partnership project within the Darling Harbour Live consortium, one of Australia’s most significant venue infrastructure developments. He also practised at Clayton Utz across M&A and major projects, and served as Associate to Justice Andrew Greenwood at the Federal Court of Australia.

Lister’s earlier career included operational roles in major venues, including Suncorp Stadium and Brisbane Entertainment Centre, as well as involvement with the Beijing Olympic Basketball Arena during the 2008 Olympic Games—experience that underpins his sector-focused approach.

The new firm is positioned squarely at the premium end of the market, targeting clients navigating complex, capital-intensive projects where legal execution and commercial structuring are closely aligned.

“The firm is built on the premise that clients in complex, high-stakes environments deserve direct access to senior expertise,” Lister said.

“After nearly a decade advising on some of the region’s most significant venue and infrastructure transactions, the goal is to deliver highly focused advice where quality and depth of relationship are the key differentiators.”

The move reflects a broader trend toward specialist boutiques in infrastructure, sports and entertainment law, as clients increasingly seek senior-level advisory capability without the layering of large firm teams.
