– The U.S.-Spain Council, sponsored by various foundations and the Embassy of Spain, selected 15 participants for its “2004 Young Hispanic Leaders Program,” following a nationwide selection process. Susan Santana, a Senior Associate at Holland & Knight LLP was selected along with executive representatives from The Coca-Cola Company and Univision Radio, among others.
The program is designed to foster relationships between Hispanic leaders in the U.S. and Spanish leaders in business, politics, and academics. Participants spent a week (June 25 through July 2) in Spain (Madrid and Santander) meeting with Spanish legislators (both state and federal government), business owners, various professionals and university professors.
Ms. Santana practices in the areas of Corporate Diversity Counseling and Government Relations and assists clients in building relationships with Hispanic and other minority elected and appointed officials, as well as civil rights, community and female business leaders.
