An 81-year-old Welsh grandmother who made her neighbours’ lives “absolute hell” was jailed for six months yesterday by a Judge who said, although he took account of her age, she had a long history of neighbourhood warring.
Sentencing her at Cardiff Crown Court for harassment and six breaches of an anti-social behaviour order, he told her: “You have deliberately, for going on for 10 years, made life a misery for your neighbours.”
A jury heard that she called neighbour Angela Casa a prostitute and told her husband, Roberto, to go back to Italy.
Evans, a widow once described by a judge as “the original neighbour from hell”, had told the couple’s 13-year-old daughter she was a witch and would cast a spell on her family.
