Atlanta (April 12) — The American Cancer Society announced today that
Kilpatrick Stockton LLP has raised over $325,000 to establish the
David M. Zacks Patient Resource Navigation Center. David Zacks, a
partner with Kilpatrick Stockton and for whom the Patient Resource
Navigation Center is named, was honored recently at the Board of
Directors Meeting of the American Cancer Society’s South Atlantic
Division for his life-long commitment in the fight against cancer.

The David M. Zacks Patient Resource Navigation Center will be a
comprehensive, state-of-the-art network linking services currently
available, expanding and creating new services and systematically
involving local communities in problem solving. It will serve cancer
patients in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia,
Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and Delaware.

“This program will meet the critical needs of cancer patients with
seamless, ongoing support and assistance for as long as it is needed,”
said Jack Shipkoski, Chief Executive Officer of the South Atlantic
Division of the American Cancer Society. “David Zacks’ hard work,
vision and leadership made the Patient Resource Navigation Center a
reality. As 2003 Chair of the National Board of the American Cancer
Society, David made patient navigation a priority. So it is only
fitting that this significant initiative bear his name.”

David Zacks, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, has
been an American Cancer Society volunteer since 1968. He has served in
numerous leadership roles including his most recent position as Chair
of the National Board of the American Cancer Society.

“As long as I have known David, he has been a difference-maker in the
community and in business — from his 35 years of volunteering with
the American Cancer Society to his tenacious representation of
clients,” said Wyck Knox, Kilpatrick Stockton Partner. “The $325,000
raised by Kilpatrick Stockton is a testament to our incredible
employees, the American Cancer Society, and to David himself.
Together, Kilpatrick Stockton and David Zacks are making a difference
in the battle against cancer.”
