ATLANTA, Jan. 10 2004 – LAWFUEL – The law news network — The law firm of Powell Goldstein LLP announced today that Simon H. Bloom, an associate at the Firm has been appointed to the state’s Commission for Service and Volunteerism. Bloom is
president-elect of the West End Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro
Atlanta and a long-time member of the Boys and Girl Clubs’ Leadership Council.
Mr. Bloom, who has been with the Firm since 1998, practices law in the
area of general litigation. He focuses his trial practice on land use, real
estate, insurance coverage, intellectual property and complex commercial
litigation.

Simon Bloom earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School
of Law, after graduating from the University of Virginia, With Distinction,
with his B.A. He clerked for U. S. District Judges Robert B. Propst and
Seybourn H. Lynne in the Northern District of Alabama prior to joining Powell
Goldstein.
