ATLANTA (May 16) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Emory law student, Claudia MacMaster, will receive the Kilpatrick Stockton Intellectual Property Award for 2007. Each year Kilpatrick Stockton Partners and Emory Adjunct Professors, Joe Beck and Bill Brewster sponsor this award, which is given to the third year law student who has earned the highest academic achievement in the field of Intellectual Property Law.
Emory Professor Sara Stadler selected Ms. MacMaster to be this year’s recipient of the award.
”I would give Claudia MacMaster the Kilpatrick Stockton award because she took four courses in Intellectual Property Law and did fantastically in all four of them: Intellectual Property, Copyright, Trademark, and Entertainment Law. Three out of four of these courses had large enrollments, and each was competitive in terms of grading,” said Ms. Stadler.
A $5,000 check donated by Mr. Beck and Mr. Brewster, will be presented to Ms. MacMaster at Emory Law School’s May 2007 graduation service.
