August 29, 2004 LAWFUEL – Best for law, law news, legal news, law articles Law firm Mills & Reeve has been appointed, following a competitive tender process, to provide support for Norwich City Council’s legal services team.

The council covers a geographical area including 60,000 properties and delivers services to more than 120,000 residents. It has an annual budget of £116m.

David Johnson, the council’s head of legal services, welcomed the appointment. He said: “With Mills & Reeve’s range of expertise added to that of the in-house team we can comprehensively meet all of the council’s legal needs.”

James Falkner, client partner for the council, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to act as lawyers for Norwich City Council; they will be an important client for the firm. We are enthusiastic about the council’s plans for Norwich, their support for the local community and the prospect of being part of that by providing high quality legal work.”
