Emma Priest

Emma Priest is an Auckland-based senior criminal barrister. She has a BA (psychology) /LLB and an LLM (1st) from Auckland University and spent 12 years working as a Crown prosecutor before joining the Public Defence Service in 2014 and commencing work as a barrister in 2016.
She has appeared in over 100 jury trials and on over 100 appeals, hundreds of pre-trial applications, and been involved in file preparation of over 1000 files. She regularly speaks for the Criminal Bar Association, the NZ Law Society, the Auckland District Law Society, Legalwise and College of Law, Auckland as well as serving on a variety of law and other organisations.
