Chicago, October, 2007 – LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – Baker & McKenzie LLP advised J-POWER USA Generation, L.P. in its acquisition of the Green Country power plant in Jenks, Oklahoma, and Mizuho Corporate Bank’s US$110 million financing facility supporting the acquisition.
The Green Country power plant was acquired from GE Energy Financial Services and Tyr Energy by J-Power USA Generation. Green Country is a 795-megawatt gas-fired, combined-cycle plant. Mizuho acted as Sole Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner for the facility. Structurally, the facility is subordinate to the senior notes outstanding for the Green Country power project, and is repaid from the dividend cash flow of the project. Mizuho expects to syndicate the financing facility later this year.
