(BALTIMORE) June 27, 2006 – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP has announced that Tracy A. Bacigalupo, a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice, has been named to Lawdragon’s “500 New Stars, New Worlds” list. Bacigalupo is based in the firm’s Baltimore office.
Lawdragon is a legal ranking and news service that provides expert analysis about lawyers and judges. The best of the best are included in their quarterly guides known as the Lawdragon 500, which are compiled based on reviews by clients and peers, as well as interviews with other legal professionals. For its “New Stars” guide, Lawdragon identifies the 500 “freshest faces in American law” nationwide, including up-and-coming new talent and seasoned attorneys who have created new practices. Fewer than .01 percent of lawyers in the U.S. are named to the list and Bacigalupo is the only Baltimore lawyer who was included.
“We are thrilled that Tracy has been recognized for her talent, hard work and dedication to her clients,” said Paul A. Tiburzi, managing partner of the Baltimore office. “She is most deserving of this recognition and we are confident she will continue to accomplish great things as she progresses through her career.”
Bacigalupo concentrates her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, intellectual property law and general corporate and real estate investment trust law. She counsels businesses organized under Maryland law, including REITs and investment companies located across the country, on corporate governance and M&A issues, including issues relating to duties of directors, interested director transactions, board and stockholder meetings, board committee functions, charter and bylaw provisions and takeover defenses.
Bacigalupo is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Business Law, Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions, and the Maryland State Bar Association, Committee on Corporate Laws.
She received a J.D. from Washington and Lee University and a B.A. from Hollins College.
