Baybridge Lawyers has appointed Gus Skavronskas as a Partner in its Intellectual Property and Brands practice, adding significant depth to the firm’s existing specialist capability.
The appointment comes in response to sustained growth across the firm’s franchising and commercial portfolio. As client demands regarding brand protection become more complex, Baybridge has moved to expand the senior leadership of its Intellectual Property team to ensure continued delivery of high-level strategic advice.
Marwan Kojok, Chief Executive Officer (pictured)n and Managing Director of Baybridge Lawyers, said the appointment reflects the increasing volume and sophistication of the work the firm is handling.
“Our Intellectual Property practice has established a reputation for commercial, astute advice. Bringing Gus Skavronskas into the partnership is a deliberate move to deepen that bench,” Mr Kojok said.

By adding a partner of Gus’s calibre to the existing team, we are ensuring we have the capacity and the technical firepower to protect those assets aggressively. Skavronskas joins Baybridge with two decades of experience in Australia and Europe, recognised in the World Trademark Review 1000 for his work in trade mark prosecution, oppositions, and brand strategy. He joins a practice already well-regarded for its integration with the firm’s franchising division.

“I am not coming in to reinvent the wheel; I am joining a team that is already performing at a high level. My focus is to work alongside the existing partnership to handle the more complex dispute and portfolio work. The appointment takes effect immediately.
