18 June 2004 – LAWFUEL – McGuireWoods LLP received a Gold IMA award in an independent survey that reviewed and rated the Web sites of the 250 largest law firms in the United States.
InternetMarketingAttorney.com conducted the survey, which gave awards to the 30 law firms receiving the highest scores. Law firm sites were judged in five categories including: design, content, usability, interactivity, and intangibles. This was the third year for McGuireWoods to receive an IMA award for having one of the top Web sites for law firms nationally.
Micah Buchdahl, president of IMA, said that McGuireWoods’ Web site “sets the standard for what many firms do online today.” “McGuireWoods has been doing the Web right since the beginning of Internet time.”
He cited the “picture-perfect e-mail newsletters” that McGuireWoods sends to its clients and employees for up-to-date legal information that keeps the firm a “few days ahead of the competition.” Buchdahl noted that he “will always love” Thomas Spahn’s legal ethics opinion database. Spahn, a partner with McGuireWoods, advises in-house counsel on ethics issues, including conflicts of interest and confidentiality, and is known nationally for his legal ethics work.
