3 April 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Skadden once again was the top-ranked law firm in The American Lawyer’s “Corporate Scorecard” survey (April 2005). Skadden was recognized among the top 10 law firms in 17 tables — no other law firm had more top 10 rankings.
In 20 of the 22 years in which the annual “Corporate Scorecard” has been published, including this year, Skadden has ranked first among law firms in handling the greatest number of mergers and acquisitions. This is the 13th consecutive year Skadden has ranked first.
Skadden also topped the IPO and high-yield rankings in terms of the number of offerings when representing issuers, and the firm ranked first in aggregate deal value of equity offerings by U.S. corporations (excluding IPOs). Skadden also ranked first on the REIT equities and REIT debt tables in terms of total proceeds when representing issuers.
