3 August 2005, Hong Kong – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Shearman & Sterling’s Hong Kong, New York and Silicon Valley offices advised the underwriters, led by Goldman Sachs International, in the US$506.6 million follow-on offering of American
depository shares of AU Optronics Corporation.

AU Optronics is the the world’s third-largest and the largest manufacturer of thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels in Taiwan. The company’s ADS’s are listed on the Ne York Stock Exchange.
