Atlanta – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Carlton Fields Atlanta attorney, Li Kan Wang, was elected to the Board of Directors for Shu-Te University in Taiwan. He will begin his term on the Board in May 2006.
During his May visit to Taiwan, Wang is also invited to speak to patent engineers at VIA Technologies on U.S. patent prosecution.
Wang is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent prosecution of information technology, electrical and mechanical arts, and has 13 years of engineering experience in the information technology/telecommunication industry. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He is a board member of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Monte-Jade Science and Technology Association, and a member of the Atlanta Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce.
Wang received a bachelor’s degree from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is fluent in Chinese and Portuguese.
