“Austin is a logical place for us to grow,” says Peter Devlin, President of

for some time. “
Both Mr. Albright and Mr. Shelton previously were with the Austin office of

“I am pleased to be able to join a firm that has Fish & Richardson’s talent
and reputation in the field of patent litigation,” says Mr. Albright. “I am
also glad to be able to practice law again with John Giust, with whom I
worked at Gray Cary and who joined Fish & Richardson earlier this year.”
Mr. Shelton, also an accomplished trial lawyer, is a registered patent
attorney and a licensed electrical engineer. Prior to joining Fish &
Richardson, he worked as in-house intellectual property counsel for San
Diego-based Wireless Knowledge Inc. prior to joining Gray Cary.
“This expansion of our litigation practice, with the addition of these
outstanding trial lawyers, will help up us maintain our dominant position as
the top patent litigation firm in the country.” says Devlin. An annual
survey in IP Law & Business magazine has ranked Fish & Richardson first in
patent litigation for four straight years.
Fish & Richardson has more than 320 attorneys serving clients in three core
practice areas – intellectual property, litigation, and corporate law.
Founded in 1878, the firm served pioneering inventors such as Alexander
Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and the Wright brothers. Today, the firm is
nationally recognized for its premier intellectual property law practice.
Fish & Richardson handles more patent litigation than any other firm in the
