Baker & McKenzie announced today that Vladimir Dragunov and Andrei Soukhomlinov, members of the Banking & Finance Practice and the Real Estate & Construction Practice respectively, have been appointed partners in the Firms Moscow office.
Their appointments were recognized at a Baker & McKenzie reception in Moscow on 27 May 2003 held in honor of Mme. Christine Lagarde, Chairman of the Firms Executive Committee. The reception also acknowledged the following important benchmarks in the development of the Firm practice in Russia over the past year:
Alexander Bychkov (Tax & Customs Practice) and Sergei Voitishkin (Corporate and M&A Practice) were appointed Partners in 2002.
Partner Mitchell Gitin relocated to Moscow from the Firms London office to focus on international securities offering emanating from CIS and US law-governed M&A transactions.

David Scott, former Managing Partner of Baker & McKenzies Kyiv office, has relocated to Moscow to lead the Firms CIS Banking & Finance Practice.
These developments, along with the appointment of Dragunov and Soukhomlinov further strengthen the collaboration between all attorneys in the CIS region and will further enable clients to augment the diverse skill sets from all offices in this region and around the world.
Vladimir Dragunov joined Baker & McKenzies Moscow office in 1997 and has since been practicing as a banking & finance lawyer. Vladimir spent nearly two years in the Finance Department of the Firms London office, starting in summer 2001.
