BALTIMORE – August 26, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Roland Park resident Sharon Snyder has been named to the Village Learning Place board of directors.

A principal in the Baltimore office of law firm Ober|Kaler, Ms. Snyder practices civil and employment litigation. Professionally active, she serves on the Board of Governors for the Federal Bar Association, Maryland Chapter and on the Executive Committee for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.

Ms. Snyder is an alumnus of the University of Maryland School of Law (JD, 1987) and Loyola College of Maryland (BA, 1980) where she recently concluded her term as Loyola College Alumni Association president.

Established in 1977, the VLP is a community library and learning center providing free access to information, resources and educational programs to promote literacy, cultural awareness and lifelong learning. The organization houses 14,000 books and offers computers and computer classes, after school child care, community and senior lectures, and youth-oriented reading programs.
