Bill O’Reilly And The Kate Law Factor

Conservative FOX News commentator Bill O’Reilly who has embraced his activism calling for a petition to declare that undocumented alienswho are deported and return to the US would receive a mandatory five year jail term.

The petition, shown below, is addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). At present there were well over 400,000 signatures on the site, according to reports.

The man charged with the Kate Steinle’s killing, Lopez-Sanchez had been deported five times and secured seven felony convictions. As the New York Times said, that record raised “questions about why he was in the United States.”

As Washington Post commentator Erik Wemple said in his column:

Petitioning Congress for a legal change sets a theme of coverage for autumn editions of “The O’Reilly Factor.” “I think what we would like to do is bring you both to Washington to talk to the congressmen and the senators who are putting the law together,” said O’Reilly to Steinle and Sullivan last night. “They go on vacation in August. I think when they come back we will get you both to Washington to talk to them face to face. Maybe to testify in front of some committees there so you can have input and we will report every step of the way,” said O’Reilly, promising that “it will be at our expense.”

Kate Steinle was laid to rest by grieving family members and friends in a private funeral service Thursday. The 32-year-old woman was murdered last week allegedly by illegal alien who had been previously deported five times and was shielded by San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy.

In his Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly called on Americans to come together to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.

Dear Senator Mitch McConnell and Representative John Boehner:

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask Congress to pass Kate’s Law whereby undocumented aliens who are deported and return to the United States would receive a mandatory five year sentence in a federal penitentiary upon conviction.

  1. I cannot believe after this woman was killed the trash that calls themselves San Francisco Supervisors do NOTHING but blame anyone and everyone else for their policies that directly led to THE DEATH OF THIS WOMAN. One of the most self-centered arrogant A-Holes is named Scott Weiner who could less as shown by his arrogant behavior and remarks—SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU SCOTT WEINER BECAUSE YOU ARE A MAJOR JERK WHO HAS THE BLOOD OF THIS WOMAN ON YOUR HANDS BECAUSE YOU PLAY POLITICS INSTEAD OF DOING THE RIGHT THING TO PROTECT THE LIVES OF AMERICANS OVER YOUR SELF CENTERED PURE EVIL BS.

  2. Hi Bill, it’s Tuesday July 14th and I just heard comments from Kristen ( whatever her last name is ) I can’t remember it because I was so upset with her comments I can’t even think straight right now. She opposes Kate’s Law and this is my comment to HER ! I bet you that if it was HER sister that got killed I am sure that she would feel differently. She should be ashamed of herself and my heart goes out to Kate’s family.

  3. Thank you Bill for standing up for Kate, I am 76 years old and have seen good times and bad, but i do believe or young people of today are sadly missing leadership at home as well as from our government. The me now is going to bite them in the but in few years and they know what to do. any way I have watch you for years and as a thank you to you I am becoming a premium member thank you for your service to all of us.

  4. I want to be included on the signing of the petition for Kate’s Law.
May she rest in peace, and may this help prevent any future tragedies.

  5. We believe this law should be passed, the border secured, and illegals be deported as soon as it is discovered they are illegal. It can’t cost any more to send these millions home as it does to support them! They assumed the possibility of deportation when they entered and remain in this country illegally and they should have the rights of non-citizens and nothing more. If they were deported when they were caught this would not have happened.
