Bill O’Reilly And The Kate Law Factor

Conservative FOX News commentator Bill O’Reilly who has embraced his activism calling for a petition to declare that undocumented alienswho are deported and return to the US would receive a mandatory five year jail term.

The petition, shown below, is addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). At present there were well over 400,000 signatures on the site, according to reports.

The man charged with the Kate Steinle’s killing, Lopez-Sanchez had been deported five times and secured seven felony convictions. As the New York Times said, that record raised “questions about why he was in the United States.”

As Washington Post commentator Erik Wemple said in his column:

Petitioning Congress for a legal change sets a theme of coverage for autumn editions of “The O’Reilly Factor.” “I think what we would like to do is bring you both to Washington to talk to the congressmen and the senators who are putting the law together,” said O’Reilly to Steinle and Sullivan last night. “They go on vacation in August. I think when they come back we will get you both to Washington to talk to them face to face. Maybe to testify in front of some committees there so you can have input and we will report every step of the way,” said O’Reilly, promising that “it will be at our expense.”

Kate Steinle was laid to rest by grieving family members and friends in a private funeral service Thursday. The 32-year-old woman was murdered last week allegedly by illegal alien who had been previously deported five times and was shielded by San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy.

In his Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly called on Americans to come together to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.
