Bryan Cave LLP Strengthens IP Practice – Law Firm Announcement Service

NEW YORK, August 13, 2008 – LawFuel – Legal Announcement Service – Robert Alpert and Joseph J. Villapol have joined the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP ( as partners in the firm’s New York office. Both will practice with Bryan Cave’s Intellectual Property (IP) Client Service Group.

Alpert and Villapol represent clients in trademark, unfair competition, copyright, patent, and right of publicity/right of privacy matters. They have appeared in federal and state courts and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), among other agencies.

Alpert received his M.F.A. in 1977 from Columbia University, his J.D. in 1974 from New York University and his B.A. in 1970 from Yale University. Villapol received his J.D. in 1989 from New York University and his B.A., cum laude, in 1986 from Fordham University.
