Cloud-based law firms are becoming an increasing reality and now one law firm has created the largest lateral move of lawyers from a traditional firm to a cloud-based one.
Florida-based FisherBroyles LLP announced this week that eight attorneys from law firm Roetzel & Andress LPA have joined the largest cloud-based firm in the United States in a further sign of how technology is changing the way law is practised and law services are delivered.
FisherBroyles, which has a practice in white collar litigation, health law and compliance, as well as real estate and commercial litigation, says the move is focusing the firm’s attention upon leveraging advanced technology to transform law practice that is also capable of attracting top legal talent.

In a release, FisherBroyles Managing Partner and co-founder James M Fisher II said “This is a significant move within the legal industry, involving the largest lateral movement of a group of attorneys leaving a traditional law firm and collectively moving to an established cloud-based law firm.”
