DALLAS, Oct. 13, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The Coffey Firm announced today that the Wisconsin Court of Appeals (“Court”) cites Mimi Coffey’s Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (“SFST”) paper, “DWI – Modern Day Salem Witch Hunts,” as published in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ magazine, “The Champion,” November 2004. The highest Court of Wisconsin ruled, “FSTs (field sobriety tests) are not scientific tests. They are merely observational tools that law enforcement officers commonly use to assist them in discerning various indicia of intoxication, the perception of which is necessarily subjective.”
The Coffey Firm defends citizens accused of DWI in Dallas, Texas and Fort Worth, Texas. Mimi Coffey founded the Firm in 2000.
