(December 5, 2005, Washington, D.C.) – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Steptoe & Johnson has named four new partners and advanced nine other attorneys, effective immediately.

The new partners are Jeffrey E. McFadden, Eric G. Serron and Libretta P. Stennes in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and Timothy M. Strong in its Phoenix office.

Mr. McFadden is a member of the Litigation practice where he focuses his representation on securities litigation and enforcement, white-collar crime, corporate internal investigations, and general civil litigation. Mr. Serron is a member of the Litigation practice working primarily in the employee benefits area, with a particular emphasis in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation and fiduciary responsibility issues. Ms. Stennes is a member of the Litigation practice, where she practices primarily in toxic tort defense and insurance coverage areas, as well as general civil litigation. And Mr. Strong is also a member of the Litigation practice where he focuses on litigating complex commercial disputes and insurance coverage and bad faith matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Other promotions include to Of Counsel, George R. Calhoun, March D. Coleman and Jonathan C. Drimmer, Litigation, and Daniel J. Poynor, Energy and Natural Resources, in the Washington, D.C. office, and Jason D. Sanders, Commercial Litigation, in the Phoenix office. And to Special Counsel, Hever “Joby” Bascon, Business Solutions, Sean C. Griffin and Timothy K. Howard, Litigation, in the Washington, D.C. office, and John R. Nickerson, Labor and Employment, in the Phoenix office.
