Frankfurt/London, 14 August 2006 — LAWFUEL – Legal News Network – Shearman & Sterling represented the underwriters led by Credit Suisse, Citigroup and JPMorgan in connection with the initial public offering of Qimonda AG, a subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, on the New York Stock Exchange.
The transaction had a volume of US$546 million which results from the placement of 42 million ADSs (American Depositary Shares), each representing an ownership interest in one Qimonda share. In addition, Infineon has granted a greenshoe option of an additional USD 82 million.
Qimonda AG was carved out from Infineon on 1 May 2006 and is a leading global producer of DRAM memory products.
