Jeanette Bionda, of the New York office, has been promoted to partner in the Real Estate Department. Ms. Bionda’s practice focuses on real estate capital markets transactions, including the representation of investment banks and other institutional lenders in the origination and securitization of first mortgage debt, mezzanine loans and preferred and common equity investments.
Farhad Jalinous, of the Washington, DC office, has been promoted to partner in the Foreign Investment Practice Group. He represents foreign clients and their domestic affiliates in connection with the regulatory aspects of investing in the United States.
Jeffrey H. Kapner, of the New York office, has been promoted to partner in the Real Estate Department. Mr. Kapner has broad experience in all areas of commercial real estate development and finance. He has taken leading roles in transactions involving mortgage and mezzanine debt, construction financing, joint ventures and acquisitions and dispositions of office parks, hotels, shopping centers and mixed use projects.
David H. Lee, of the Chicago office, has been promoted to partner in the Corporate and Finance Department. His practice focuses on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, venture capital investments and minority equity investments.

Ana M. Alfonso, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Business Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights Group. Her practice has focused on the representation of corporate debtors in and out of bankruptcy. Ms. Alfonso also has substantial experience representing individual and corporate clients in bankruptcy-related litigation.
Lauren M. Bernstein, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Corporate and Finance Department. Ms. Bernstein’s practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and corporate borrowers in commercial lending transactions. Her experience includes leveraged acquisition financings, cash flow and asset based financings, senior lender and borrower representations in cross-border transactions, debtor-in-possession financings, Chapter 11 exit financings, recapitalizations, restructurings and work-outs.
Scott I. Davidson, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Business Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights Group. His experience includes representations in and out of bankruptcy of debtors (both corporate and individual), DIP lenders, fiduciaries (including examiners and receivers), indenture trustees and individual creditors.
Joseph M. Drayton, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Litigation Department. He has considerable experience in intellectual property, antitrust and commercial litigation issues and has practiced before both state and federal courts as well as the International Trade Commission. Mr. Drayton also counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property acquisition, transfer, protection and enforcement.
Karin E. Garvey, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Litigation Department. Ms. Garvey has considerable experience in antitrust and trade regulation litigation, real estate litigation and general litigation.
Alison M. King, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Corporate and Finance Department. Ms. King has worked in the areas of securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity investments and general corporate counseling.
Frank McCay, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Real Estate Department. Mr. McCay practices in the area of real estate finance, with a focus on representing lenders in portfolio lending transactions.
Catherine Parker, of the London office, has been promoted to counsel in the Corporate and Finance Department. She advises on a wide range of corporate transactions including private equity, securities offerings, and public and private mergers and acquisitions.
Mark S. Pesso, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Business Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights Group. Mr. Pesso has worked in the areas of banking, creditors’ rights and insolvency law on behalf of secured and unsecured creditors. His experience includes representations of agents to large syndicated lending groups, major financial institutions, asset management firms and investment banks in cross-border transactions, debtor-in-possession financings, Chapter 11 exit financings, restructurings, work-outs, acquisition financings and project financings.
Randall Stempler, of the New York office, has been promoted to counsel in the Technology, Intellectual Property & Outsourcing Group. He has extensive experience in complex technology transactions, including E-Commerce, the Internet, outsourcing and software licensing. He also has broad experience in corporate finance, general corporate, commercial and securities law, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
