Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that it advised Serco Group plc (Serco) in its recent selection by the Department of Trade and Industry as preferred bidder for the operation of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). The new ten-year contract is valued at approximately £500 million to Serco over this period.

Serco, as an incumbent contractor, has managed NPL since 1995 and will continue to work on NPL’s development as a world leader in measurement science.
